Every once in a while, I come across something that blows my mind away, solves a problem that’s never been able to be solved, and works better than anything I’ve ever used. And in this case, I have to share it because it’s mind-blowing. When my yellow male dog, Reign, turned about seven years old he began to itch a little bit. At first, I thought it was cbeause he was shedding, so I started giving him some salmon oil. That didn’t seem to help either so I actually broke down and asked the veterinarian for a medication to use when it got really bad (I thought it was seasonal allergies since we go back and forth to our home on the Chesapeake Bay sometimes). Then I noticed his coat was smelling kind of ‘off’ and I thought, “Maybe it’s just an old dog thing.”

THEN I remembered, in the show world, we would occasionally send a female out with a Handler. One of the big problems was if she came in heat, you had to pay for the transportation and the showing fee fees and the entry fee fees, no matter what. Also, if you take a female dog in the show, ring people get upset because the males can smell her and they throw their heads all around and misbehave and don’t do well. So you’re hated in the show ring if you do that, but… We had a secret back then that I learned from my handlers. We would give the girls LIQUID CHLOROPYLL every day on their food and it would mask the smell of heat. Imagine that! A smell that males can smell a mile away! MASK4ED! (Powerful stuff—I can attest to it as when I take it I don’t need deodorant at all! So I thought, “Why not try it on Reign? Well… As expected, the smell went away within three days and he’s been on it now for a month. And I haven’t given him a bath since.! But the bonus thing that blew me away and that I have to share with you is not only does he not stink, but HE DOES NOT ITCH ANYMORE!! Just one gel cap a day in his food…that’s it!

I’ll tell you, it’s a relief. Now I don’t have to worry about any kind of medication’s or anything in the future I just go on Amazon and get a high-quality liquid chlorophyll and I’m good. I wish I knew this 40 years ago!

I use the gel caps because I hide them in his raw food. This is what I use:

Liquid Chlorophyll is available on Amazon (The best brand is Nature’s Sunshine) but there are others as well that may be more palatable for dogs.
